Membrane plates have some advantage over standard chamber plates like short filtration cycle, low residual cake moisture, exchangeable membranes, safety of membrane system, application range up to 130˙C and many field of applications.
The Membrane Filter Press is an advanced filtration system designed for industries that require superior dewatering performance and reduced moisture content in filter cakes. Unlike conventional chamber filter presses, this machine uses membrane plates that can expand after the filtration cycle to apply extra pressure, squeezing additional water from the cake.

Dazhang Membrane Filter Press is widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, mining, wastewater treatment, metallurgy, paper, and textile industries due to its durability, efficiency, and ability to handle both fine and coarse slurries.
The process consists of two main stages:
Slurry (liquid-solid mixture) is pumped into the chambers between filter plates.
The filter cloth captures solids, forming a filter cake.
The filtrate (clean liquid) passes through the cloth and drains out of the system.
Once chambers are full, the membrane plates are inflated using compressed air or water.
The membranes expand uniformly, applying extra pressure on the filter cake.
Additional water is expelled from the cake, reducing its moisture content by up to 20–30% compared to standard filter presses.
Finally, the plates open, and the drier, compact filter cakes are discharged, ready for disposal or reuse.
